Getting There

The wedding location:

Entre Viñedos

Carretera CV590, km 51,5, 46820 Enguera, Valencia, Spain

The medieval town of Xativà is the nearest town to our wedding location. We recommend you to book accommodation there so our rental bus can take you to and from the wedding location from there. Free car parking is available at the site.

First of all: to get to Xativà town, you need to change once, in the city center of Valencia. To make matters confusing, the station where you exit in Valencia is also called Xativà... you will need to buy 2 tickets, 1 for the metro system to get from the airport to the city center (Xativa stop), and 1 for the slow regional train to Xativa town (Xàtiva, 46800 Xàtiva, València), not the neighbourhood of Xativà in Valencia city.

Part 1: take the "metro" m from the airport to Valencia city center, get off at Xativa stop. It is officially a metro, but at the airport it stops overground. You can take nr. 3 (direction Rafelbunyol) or nr. 5  (direction Maritim), both stop at Xativa. It takes about 20 minutes. At the airport, follow the signs to the metro and buy a single ticket before entering the metro line for 1.50 euro (machine or vendor). The airport is the end station of the metro and nr. 3 and nr. 5 are the only lines that stop here, so you cannot go wrong.

Part 2: After exiting the metro at Xativa stop, walk outside to go the train station called Valencia del Norte. Take the exit Carrer de Xativa to get to train station. Outside you should see the Valencia Bull fighting ring. Then follow the Carrer D'Alicant to the entrance of the train station. It is about 5 minutes walk and there are signs to the train station. Basically, you are walking along the tracks (Valencia Norte is also an end-station) to get to the entrance.

Once you are in the station, buy a ticket for the Renfe local train (Renfe Cercanias) to Xativa town. Note that in Spanish train stations, there are different ticket machines for local trains and intercity trains so look for the machine or ticket counter with Cercanias on it.

Safe travels everyone!!

 Valencia Region

If you have more time to spend in Valencia, here are some of our recommendations.

Science Museum

Valencia city

So much to see, check some travel guides - but our favourites: rent a bike to explore the Turia river park and check out the Calatrava City of Arts

Albufera.webp

Albufera Lagoon and Natural Park

This lagoon along the coast near Valencia city is partly used to cultivate (paella) rice, and part natural park. Great for birdwatching. Now is a good time of year to go.

HuertoRibera.jpg

Huerto Ribera

The Valencia region is famous for oranges. This orchard with mansion dates back to 1875. They offer guided tours through the orchard and workshops/tastings of various regional foods.
